Another year in the books! Another direct trip to my sister’s in August but this time on paved roads. Not sure I’ll repeat that route since there were long stretches with no shoulder on the road. Another RLCT but this time solo! It is definitely a lot more fun in a group. I’m going to gauge participation earlier this year and maybe do the gravel route if solo is the only option. Not as many trips to Gatineau but tried several routes around Ottawa that I’ve never done before. A few I won’t do again for various reasons but I did find a gravel route east that I really enjoy. No bike packing again but it’s still something I want to try again. 

I have purchased a fat bike again and have done several rides so far this winter. I’m enjoying it but the conditions can vary and some days are a lot tougher than others. I have also purchased several road/gravel bikes over the last few years and I really want to try and keep the current stable for a while. We’ll see…
